Eine schöne Stadt mit viel Kultur
Hue war von 1802 bis 1945 Hauptstadt Vietnams und sitz der kaiserlichen Ngyuen Dynastie. Die trotzdem etwas ruhigere Großstadt bietet vieles an Geschichte und Kultur und ist wohl auch das historische Herz des Landes. Allerdings wurde im Vietnamkrieg der Großteil der Stadt zerstört, doch trotzdem kann man noch den Charme des alten Vietnams spüren.
Anreise & Verkehrsmittel
Per Bus (ca. 2 ½ h) oder Zug (ca. 3 ½ h) problemlos von Da Nang erreichbar. Tolle Anreise über den Wolkenpass, der die damalige Grenze zwischen Nord- und Südvietnam war. Während der kurvigen Fahrt hat man einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Küste Da Nangs und dem südchinesischen Meer. Weiter geht es vorbei an der Lap An Lagoon und an tollen Stränden. Das alleine macht die Anreise nach Hue schon zu einem besonderen Erlebnis.
Sightseeing & Ausflüge
Ich habe Hue in Form eines organisierten Ganztagesausflugs ab/bis Da Nang gebucht. Ein Reiseführer ist für Hue sehr empfehlenswert, da man ansonsten keine Ahnung hat an welchen wichtigen und kulturellen Spot man sich gerade befindet. Auch die ganzen Hintergrundgeschichten der Dynastien und Bräuche zu dieser Zeit waren total interessant.
- Imperial Citadel (Dai Noi): Dieses UNESCO Weltkulturerbe zieht wohl die meisten Touristen nach Hue und das mit gutem Grund, da die Anlage wirklich sehr interessant ist. Innerhalb der Anlage kann man sich gut vorstellen, wie das Leben des Kaisers mit seinen Konkubinen und Angestellten vor hunderten Jahren ausgesehen hat. Der Eintritt von umgerechnet ca. € 6,00 ist völlig gerechtfertigt. Mit vielen aufwendigen Arbeiten wird die Anlage bis dato noch immer aufgebaut und restauriert.
- Kaisergrab Lang Tu Duc: Das Mausoleum des 4. Kaisers Tu Duc liegt eingebettet in einer idyllischen Parkanlage, mit einem schön angelegten Koi-Teich. Allerdings ist das Grab selbst eher ein unspektakulärer Steinsarg. Ein Besuch und Spaziergang durch die Anlage ist sehr empfehlenswert.
